To be specific, the grand event began with the solemn song of the Communist Youth League. This initiation ceremony included five items: playing the national anthem, league members’ oath-taking, speech by a new member representative, awarding the membership certificates and the team emblem, in addition to a keynote speech by the school leaders. Moreover, after all the teachers and students sang the national anthem together, all the new members solemnly took the oath under the leadership of Tonglan Jinxuan, Secretary of the Student Union in Grade 10. Subsequently, Lu Yiran from Class 2, Grade 8 delivered a speech as the representative of the new members, after which Secretary of the Youth League Committee, Jin Gensheng, presented the membership certificates and the League badges to the new members. Overall, Lu Dan, the Party Secretary and Vice Principal of Anqing Foreign Language School, on behalf of the Party Committee of Anqing Foreign Language School, extended warm congratulations to all the new members of the Communist Youth League. In the meantime, he asked all the members of the Youth League to set an example for all the students in the school in their studies and daily life in that not only should they ‘join the Youth League’ in form, but also in action and thought. Additionally, league members should have lofty ideals, study hard, be proactive and strive to become outstanding members of the Communist Youth League, bringing honor to their classes and Anqing Foreign Language School and adding luster to the League flag and emblem!
